I recently visited Trinity Hospicewhich is located on Clapham North Side in Clapham Town Ward.
The hospices cares for people with advance illness both within their homes and at the hospice. They also provide bereavement councilling for people close to patients. Only around a third of their funding comes from the NHS and therefore they are heavely reliant of support from organisations and individuals in the local community.
With the opening of a new in-patient centre coming shortly more than ever the hospice is looking for new ways to raise money including their Larger Than Life exhibition, where a series of unique photgraphic protrats of well known icons have been commissioned. The exhibition will be touring from September 2008 and throughout 2009, with just 50 limited edition signed prints of each potrait available to buy. Potraits include Jeff Glodblum, Kevin Spacey, Barry Humphries and Jimmy Carr.
I look forward to returning when the new in-patient centre is opened later this year and to many return visits to the hospice in the future to see much of the great work that they are doing there.
i welcome support for trnity and its users am concerned over parking changes on north side and the chase which affects patients and family glad also to help arrange delivery fr councillors by my helpers who do it free of charge and without recognition and who come as migrants to this country from dictatorship in burma
